Biography/Profile
Sheftall Sheftall (1762-1847) was born in Savannah, the son of Mordecai Sheftall. During the Revolutionary War, he was the Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Issues for the Continental troops in Georgia. He was taken prisoner in 1779, exchanged in 1780, and served until the end of the Revolution.

This collection contains a warrant for money to be delivered to General Moultrie, signed by Sheftall Sheftall, and the deposition of Sheftall, recounting his War service and imprisonment.
