This collection consists of 12 original letters and one receipt. Nine of the letters are from Adams' brother-in-law, Hubbard L. Hart and discuss stagecoach lines from Savannah to Riceboro, Darien and Florida (1853-1856); steamboats and the possible sale of a steamboat to Capt. David R. Dillon; cotton shipments (1866-1867); mail contracts; commodity prices; and community and family affairs in Georgia and Florida. Two of the letters are from Erwin and Hardee, commission merchants.
