This collection consists of microfilm copies of 4 scrapbooks created by Thomas Gamble. Upon Gamble's death in 1945, he bequeathed the scrapbooks to the Savannah Public Library (now Live Oak Public Library). The scrapbooks included in this collection are: "Extract from diary of John Martin Bolzius and Israel Christian Groneau" (translated by C.A. Linn), "The Crisp family in Georgia," "The McAllisters in three states, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and California," and "Slave ship Wanderer." The scrapbooks are primarily comprised of clippings from the "Savannah Morning News."
These scrapbooks were microfilmed by the Genealogical Society of Salt Lake City, Utah, at the Savannah Public Library in 1989.
