This is an artificial collection created by the Georgia Historical Society by compiling postcards, some from other manuscript collections, into a single collection. It is unknown when this collection was created, but most of the materials were processed during the 1980s. The postcards were compiled from various sources and cover a broad time span with emphasis on the 20th century. They are arranged by geographic location, and then subdivided by subject.
