Andrew McLean was a merchant and Indian trader. McLean lived in Augusta, Georgia, and his trading interests spread throughout Georgia and included Pensacola, Florida and other areas of west Florida. He expressed loyalty to both the Patriots and to the Tories during the Revolutionary War. McLean is mentioned in documents throughout the Colonial Records of the State of Georgia and The Revolutionary Records of the State of Georgia. In addition to being a merchant, McLean was on the Commission of the Peace as Magistrate for St. Paul's Parish in Georgia, now Richmond County. Andrew McLean died on August 21, 1784 in Augusta, Georgia.
