This collection consists of a microfilm copy of records from Georgia's colonial, Revolutionary, and post-Revolutionary eras, 1735-1822. The records are divided into 7 series: conveyance books, 1750-1804; probate records, 1755-1829; printed materials, 1735-1743; marks and brands, 1755-1793; mortgage books, 1755-1822; will books, 1754-1777; and inventory books, 1754-1778. The printed materials series consists of George Whitefield's "Continuation of the Account of the Orphan-House in Georgia" (1743); two acts: An Act for rendering the Colony of Georgia more defensible by prohibiting the importation and use of black slaves or negroes into the same and An Act to prevent the importation and use of rum and brandies in the Province of Georgia, or any kind of spirits or strong waters whatsoever (both 1735); and two volumes of William Stephens' A Journal of the Proceedings in Georgia, (1737) volumes 1 and 3.
