These papers relate to Dr. Samuel H. Stout's service during the Civil War under the Army of Tennessee in Georgia. Included are documents relating to the physical conditions of William Cleveland and A.Q. Adams. Additional items discuss the transfer of wounded soldiers, the capacity of LaGrange Hospital and the hiring of slaves for hospitals. Also included is a letter from W.M. Beckam written from Parole Camps, Demopolis, Alabama discussing war experiences. Item 8 of this collection is a Confederate Imprint (Crandall #1053) pertaining to ice for hospitals in Georgia.
