It consists of manuscripts, correspondence, legal and research documents, land records, photographs, and other materials collected by Keith Read. Most materials relate to the social and political histories of Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, focusing on land records and legal records. The collection also includes 24 microfilm rolls: 20 from the Records of the U.S. Collector of Customs series, the other 4 from the Gourdin-Young papers.
